Power Through Anything on Your ATV — With Full Protection.
You love your ATV for all kinds of reasons. You appreciate the way it muscles through chores like hauling and plowing. And you love your ATV for weekend fun, whether it’s ripping around your property or for heading out for an off-road adventure on a wilderness trail. But did you know that ATV insurance is actually mandatory on many Ontario trails?
No matter how you use your ATV, you want to be sure both you and your machine are protected with the right insurance. Dawson & Keenan offers comprehensive ATV insurance options that not only cover the common damages that can occur, but also the most serious risks associated with operating a powerful, heavyweight vehicle.
Types of ATVs Insured by Dawson & Keenan
Sport ATVs
Four wheels, high-performance power, suspension, and handling. Designed to maneuver steep climbs, sharp turns, and through a variety of terrain. They feature powerful engines, longer travel suspension, and excellent handling on curves, sharp turns, etc.
Side-By-Side ATVs
Two front seats and sometimes two backseats. These ATVs feature a steering wheel, foot pedals, seat belts, and a roll bar. Handle much like a car, but with the power to take on off-road terrain. Great for riding with a friend.
Recreation/Utility ATVs
Used for all types of big and small chores (hauling, plowing, etc.) as well as for all-terrain adventure riding. Powerful, but not as fast or agile as the sport version. Can comfortably fit two riders.
What Kinds of ATV Insurance Do You Need?
For the most comprehensive insurance, Dawson & Keenan recommends a package of all three types of the policies below. Our brokers will work with you to get you the best price and coverage for your budget and your ATV lifestyle needs.
ATV Personal Injury Insurance
As big and powerful as ATVs are, accidents do happen – as do serious injuries. While your health insurance will cover your medical care, if you require rehab and/or time off from work, personal injury coverage will pay for rehab treatment and also income replacement. It can also cover long-term disability and pay out a death benefit to your beneficiaries, if the worst should occur.
ATV Liability Insurance
Your possible injuries from operating an ATV aren’t the only ones to consider. Passengers riding with you can also be injured, as can others who may be in the path of an accident involving your ATV. Be sure you’re covered if you’re found liable for an accident involving your ATV and other individuals.
ATV Vehicle Damage Insurance
Your ATV typically gets used in the toughest conditions and the damage inflicted by rugged terrain or even natural events like extreme weather can be costly. ATVs are also desirable machines and can also be attractive targets for theft and vandalism. ATB vehicle damage insurance covers the cost of repairs, parts replacement, and even total replacement if you need it.
